Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to an accessible site, and how to tell us when something is in the way.
Our commitment
This office is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. The site is designed and tested to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard adopted for state and local government web content under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What that means in practice
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Text and background colors meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and pages reflow at 200% zoom without side-scrolling.
- Images carry text descriptions, tables carry headers and captions, and forms label every field and announce errors.
- Animation is minimal and respects the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
- The property search, results list and property pages provide every piece of information available on the interactive map, so the map is never the only path.
Known limitations
- Some older documents provided by the state or by the office are scanned PDFs that have not yet been made fully accessible. Ask us and we will provide the content in an alternate format.
- The interactive parcel map requires a browser with WebGL; without it the site shows the results list instead.
- Links to other government sites lead to content we do not control.
Tell us about a problem
If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or need information in an alternate format such as large print or plain text, contact the office by phone or email using the details on the Contact page. Please tell us the page address and what went wrong. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers promptly.
Ongoing work
The site is checked with automated accessibility testing on every release and re-audited annually, including testing with screen readers.
