Privacy
What this site collects, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect
- Nothing to browse. Looking up a property, using the map or the estimator does not require an account or any personal information.
- Forms you submit. When you file an application, a mailing-address change, a correction or a contact message, we keep what you enter and attach so the office can act on it. Submissions are delivered to the office by email and stored securely with access limited to authorized staff.
- Server logs and abuse controls. Standard request logs (IP address, page requested, time) are kept briefly for security and capacity planning. A bot-detection challenge protects search and form submission; it does not track you across other sites.
- Analytics. We use cookieless, aggregate analytics (page counts, referrers, device type). No advertising or cross-site tracking scripts are used, and no personal profile is built.
Public records
The PVA is a public office. Assessment records, and in most cases correspondence and applications received by the office, are public records under the Kentucky Open Records Act (KRS 61.870–61.884) and may be disclosed on request except where a statute makes them confidential. Information you submit through this site should be treated the same as a paper submission delivered to the counter.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies it needs to function — for example to remember your last search mode, to keep an editor signed in to the administration area, or to complete a bot challenge. It does not set advertising cookies.
Retention
Online form submissions are retained according to the records retention schedule for PVA offices published by the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives and are then purged. Confirm the current schedule with the office.
Questions
Contact the office using the details on the Contact page if you have a question about how your information is handled or want to inspect a record.
